As a Live Audio Production Instructor, Paul Lee brings decades of hands-on industry experience and a lifelong passion for music to the classroom. His journey began in the 5th grade with the saxophone, eventually leading to the bass guitar, two years marching with Troy State’s “Sound of the South,” and opening his own music store in Waycross, GA at age 26. In 2008, he relocated to Athens, Georgia and established PL PRO AUDIO, launching a robust career as a tour manager, front-of-house/monitor engineer, and backline technician. Over the years, he has toured and worked with legendary artists including Leon Russell, Blackberry Smoke, Kishi Bashi, Randall Bramblett, Chuck Leavell, Gregg Allman, and members of R.E.M., among many others. Now in his role as an instructor, he is dedicated to passing along his deep technical knowledge and real-world tour experience to train the next generation of engineers to make the world sound a little better.
