At Tweed Recording, we aim to inspire and prepare our students to enter into the audio industry with confidence and resilience. To accomplish this, our programs focus on experiential learning and deliberative practice. Audio production is a highly technical field, combining physics, math, electronics and art into one cohesive profession. To work effectively in studio sessions and live events, students must gain proficiency with the concepts and tools while refining soft skills such as time management, collaboration, client relations, and problem-solving.

We try to operate our school like a commercial studio so that our graduates are fully prepared to do their job with poise and excellence. We believe it is our responsibility to be extremely demanding. Students often learn best when pushed just beyond their comfort level and as they prevail, they progress to deeper concepts with grit and stamina. Our classrooms are challenging, albeit inspiring spaces where open dialogue is encouraged and learning is individualized. We want our students to be fearless, to make mistakes, and to see their learning as a choice to invest further.

We are passionate about the craft of audio production. Students need to see that. We want them to see themselves as part of a larger community. All students can learn, but inspired students learn deeper.
