About Tweed

In the heart of vibrant Downtown Athens, GA, Tweed Recording stands as a beacon for aspiring audio professionals. Our city-block-deep facility is packed with spaces for you to learn, equipment for you to get your hands on and use, and programs that will immerse you in the world of audio production, that will push you, excite you, and prepare you for your future.  Our 5 studios are full of one of the best collections of contemporary and vintage gear in the world.

Beyond technical skills, we emphasize the importance of understanding the music business, teaching you how to monetize your creations and navigate the industry’s complexities. At Tweed, you’ll forge meaningful connections within the music community, laying the foundation for a sustainable and fulfilling career in audio production.

In early 2025 Tweed Recording was approved for nonprofit operation.  This enables us to receive tax-deductible donations, allowing us to offer lower tuition for students to enroll in our programs.  To learn more about donating, please click on the donate button below.
